I am very excited to share that our Edelman team will be expanding Words of a Generation and taking this research and film project to five new countries this year.

Our new series starts in Singapore, with a look at Singapore’s ‘70’s generation. Seven new films on the generation’s life and perspective will be released this fall.

Today, our director, Jayga Rayn, and I set out from Shanghai to begin filming.

Over the next 10 days, we will be sharing short photo series and videos captured as we explore Singapore.

We hope this gives you an initial look at our journey as we shoot the new series. Stay tuned for more!

“Inside, the space doesn’t seem that small. And, honestly, it doesn’t even seem so relevant in our daily lives. The capsule perfectly fulfils its modern function of a ‘machine for living’ and, as a couple, which theoretically makes the experience even more extreme, we can live normally. We are happy here. We prefer to live in a smaller space in central Tokyo than in a big house in the suburbs. Our routine is to leave home in the morning and return at night to rest. We feel like normal, happy examples of the ‘contemporary nomad’ whom Kurokawa wrote about. Nevertheless, it still feels like we are living somewhere in between a hotel and a scientific experiment.”

Hello, my name is Mark, I'm from the Philippines. I've always wondered what kind of work you have (if you don't mind my asking). I am a big fan of your photos and the way you capture moments. Passion and commitment can be easily felt/seen through your photographs. The kind of work you have is something I would really like to be a part of. People and our cultural diversity (or our diversity, in general) have always fascinated me ever since I was young. Seeing your photos is very inspirational. :)
